These Terms of Use govern your use of Ditto, a voice journaling application operated by Future House ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.
The Service
Ditto is a voice journaling app that records your spoken words, transcribes them, and uses AI to generate summaries and insights. The service is available on iOS and requires an account for full access.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not use another person's account or share your credentials.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Ditto only for personal, lawful journaling. You may not:
- Use the app to record or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or harassing
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code
- Use automated tools to access the service at scale
- Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or access controls
Your Content
You retain ownership of your journal entries and recordings. By using Ditto, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service — including transmitting audio for transcription and generating AI-powered insights.
We do not claim ownership of your thoughts. We do not use your journal content to train AI models. We do not share your entries with third parties except as required to operate the service (as described in our Privacy Policy).
Subscriptions
Ditto offers a subscription for full access to the service. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings
- We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law
AI-Generated Content
Summaries, mood tags, reflection questions, and other insights are generated by AI and are intended for personal reflection only. They are not a substitute for professional mental health support, medical advice, or therapy. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline.
Availability
We strive to keep Ditto available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Ditto is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated insights will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ditto. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Ditto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
